CE Week, the consumer electronics and technology industrys
annual mid-year event returns to New York City on June 25-29, 2012. CE
Week brings together global companies and innovators for conferences,
exhibitions, workshops and networking events, including the ever-popular
CEA Line Shows and Digital Downtown Conference scheduled for June 27-28,
2012 at the Altman Building and Metropolitan Pavilion. CE Weekis a
unique event as it allows companies to customize their participation and
be promoted within this week of activities focusing on consumer
technology.
“CE Week and the CEA Line Shows continue to grow in importance and
relevance as the mid-year business event for our industry”
New for the 2012 CE Week:
Eureka Park Challenge: Building off the success of the Eureka
Park TechZone at the 2012 International CES, this competition will
showcase innovative new technology products and services from the
hottest companies and startups. After online judging, 10 finalists
will be selected to participate in the Eureka Park Challenge at the
CEA Line Shows. These companies will be featured within a two-day
interactive exhibit area and competition, with live on-stage
presentations to determine the top company.Winners of the Eureka Park
Challenge will receive free booth space at the 2013 International CES.
Mobile Apps Showdown: Produced by Robin Raskin and Living in
Digital Times, the Mobile Apps Showdown NYC Competition will determine
the best app across the top smartphone platforms. Apps producers will
have two minutes to demo their app, and an applause-o-meter will
measure audience enthusiasm to determine the winners.
6Sight Conference: A series of executive conferences that will
focus on the impact the imaging industry and its technologies have on
society, and the revenue possibilities they enable. The participants
will preview breakthrough technologies, forecast innovative uses, and
spark new ideas and alliances that benefit current and potential
customers, participating companies, and the imaging industry as a
whole.
mHealth NYC: Tech leaders will talk about mobile tech devices,
networks and services.
2nd Screen Summit: A program focusing on the multi-screen TV
experience and the social TV revolution.
CE Week and the CEA Line Shows continue to grow in importance and
relevance as the mid-year business event for our industry, said Gary
Shapiro, president and CEO of the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA).
The 2012 CE Week looks to be the best event yet, with more partners,
more participants and more events than ever. I encourage the tech
industry to register and make plans now to be at this must-attend event
this June.
The 2011 CE Week drew more than 5,500 attendees, including more than 640
media/analysts and 430 retailer/distributors — making it one of the CE
industrys biggest annual events. More than 200 companies and 17 event
partners converged to showcase the best new products for back-to-school
and the holidays. The official CE Week TV channel, GeekBeat TV, reached
