Even if you missed the Mobile Apps Showdown event, it doesn’t mean that you’ll miss out on seeing these great apps in action. We invited the developers to come to our booth and demonstrate their apps in 90-second quick-fire demos. We have assembled 13 of those videos here for you to watch. Clixtr
The winner of the Mobile Apps Showdown live event, Clixtr turns smartphones into smartcameras by leveraging location-based technologies and the rapidly improving quality of camera phones. Add the “where” to the “what” in your smartphone pics.

Gwabbit
Online readers went cwazy for Gwabbit, voting it into first place in the Mobile Apps Showdown online competition. Gwabbit scans incoming BlackBerry emails, finds contacts, and instantly transforms them into contact records within your Outlook address book - all with a single mouse click.

Aha
Providing more than just traffic info from the Department of Transportation, Aha uses a peer-to-peer network to let all drivers communicate their traffic experience with each other for real-time, in-traffic information.

Truphone
Turn your iPod into an iPhone: With the Truphone-created app, users find themselves with a powerful phone replete with calling options, instant messaging capabilities, and most attractively, low-cost calling.

Gravity
Gravity equips social media mavens with all the tools they need to customize and optimize their Twitter experience on their S60 mobile devices.

Date Check
Don’t go into a blind date blind. Date Check lets you get the stats on your potential paramour so that you can feel safe that it won’t be some creep, crook, or scam artist. Cynical? Yes. Does it work? You bet.

SAT Vocab Challenge
iPhone as tutor: This iPhone and iPod touch app is a college admissions exam resource that measures a user’s mastery of 250 words, including The Princeton Review’s Hit Parade, a list of 100 words that most frequently appear on the SAT. Makes mobile study sessions easy.

Slacker Radio
Slacker allows music lovers to play personalized music on the go with the Slacker Mobile application for iPhone, BlackBerry, and soon Android and Windows Mobile.
