Top 20Developer’s description: You can now listen to all the stations from the Livio Radio — the WiFi radio that frees Internet radio from your PC — in your car with the Car Internet Radio by Livio Radio for iPhone application. Livio’s soon-to-be-released iPhone app features the first ever “direct tuning” of over 16,000 radio stations, and it lets you take and receive phone calls easily within the application while driving. It features large buttons for easy access while driving. Powered by Radiotime, the app can replace your car’s satellite radio with one that has no subscriptions or fees.

Pros: Nothing to add because the app has yet to be released.

Cons: Ditto here, though the rather lengthy product name isn’t the catchiest.

Cost: Free

About Mobile Apps Showdown

Our Host: Robin Raskin
...is a veteran tech journalist and founder of Living in Digital Times. She created the Showdown.

How it works:

Mobile phone apps from any platform can enter. Our experts narrow the field to a Top 20 and then Top 10. We conduct an online vote to determine a 'people's' winner. All 20 semifinalists are invited to demonstrate their apps at the Mobile Apps Showdown stage in the North Hall during CES. The Top 10 appear before a live voting audience at CES to determine an event winner.

When: Saturday, 12:30 p.m., Jan. 9, 2010

Where: Room N255-257, LVCC, North Hall, 2010 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
