How sad is that! My most used and useful Android application is the one that kills all the other ones! That’s because smartphones are too dumb to figure out whether I’m still using my apps. So, for example, I’ve turned on Google Maps and navigated my way. I’m there. I’ve forgotten about Google Maps, but my phone thinks it’s still vital. It never shuts down. Add that to my calorie counter, movie picks, star tracker (the ones in the sky, not the tabloids) and Craig’s List (the worst offender of them all because even Task Killer won’t kill it), I’ve got apps running that I’d long since forgot.
The problem is that once too many apps are running on your phone the whole thing crawls to a snail’s pace. And your battery starts draining faster than a bathtub. So there I am, bringing up TasKiller and gleefully wiping out the lot of them with one single click.
Come on folks. Prove me wrong. It can’t be that the most useful app is the grim reaper of all apps. And don’t take my word for it. TasKiller shows up on tons of top ten Android app lists.
