Mobile Apps Showdown 2012, NYC

The rules are simple:

  • You must submit your app before May 13, 2012.
  • Your app must be available to the public upon submission or be in beta testing to be formally launched no later than Sept 2012.
  • Semi-finalists (20) and finalists (10) are selected from among all entrants by a panel of journalists and product experts. Semi-finalists will be chosen by May 25, 2012, and the Top 10 will be chosen by June 8, 2012.
  • The public will vote for their top choice of the selected Top 10 finalists in an online vote.
  • All entries will be posted on the Mobile Apps Showdown website with a description of the product, links to try and buy the app, and details about pricing and platform.
  • Semi-finalists and finalists will have their apps listed on the site with a special banner recognizing their status and will be reviewed by one of our expert judges.
  • Top 10 Finalists will present at the Mobile Apps Showdown live event on June 27 at the CEA LineShows in NYC. Each of the final ten apps will have four minutes to present in front of the CEA LineShows audience.
  • Two winners–an online winner and a live event–winner will be announced at the event.
  • All participants receive access to press and attendee reports following the competition.
  • The Mobile Apps Showdown website will remain live during 2012.


Awards Presented:

  • One for the winner of the best application in the online vote.
  • One for the winner of the live vote at the Mobile Apps Showdown at CEA LineShows, NY


The fee to enter the competition is $500.
