Developer’s Description: We’d all love to know where our kids, aging parents, or other loved ones are for a sense of comfort, but the problem has always been that once you know their location, so does everyone else with a GPS locator and a little will.
Neer allows you to privately and automatically share your location with the people you care about. The app does this by getting consent from both parties to be trackable. It can build a geo-fenced based location area to give you the ability to share just the places, and with the people you choose.
This app is perfect for those times when you’ve wanted to know, “Has my spouse left work yet?” “Has my aging father strayed too far from home?” ”Who’s around for lunch?” Neer runs in background and can have alerts set up for you so you don’t need to worry until you’re notified.
Neer came out of the Qualcomm labs and is one of the apps being labeled PSLF — Personal Shared Location Finder. It’s available on Android, with iPhone app coming soon.
