MAS Top 25Developer’s Description: FACT: In 2010 one in five Americans will lose their phone. One in 10 will lose their keys. As most of our devices get smaller, and there are more of them to track, who has not found themselves in a situation where your keys, cell phone or other precious items are nowhere to be found?

Cobra’s mission is for you to never lose your stuff again. Phone Halo makes your phone aware of surrounding objects and connects your belongings to the internet. The app runs on your smartphone and a small Phone Halo tag is attached to an item that you want to protect (keys, purse, computer or camera bag). The software monitors the distance between the phone and the item, and if you were to leave either one behind, both will ring to alert you and record the GPS location and time of when and where you lost your item. The time and location of the lost item can be emailed or sent via text message to any contact. Phone Halo can even act as a finder. Simply hit the button on the app to cause your halo’d item to ring.

if molile lose in futher u can say where it is?
  • Don't get me wrong. I think this "free" app is great but have to mention that each tag is $60 on Amazon. You better really like those keys of yours.
  • Point taken but considering that car keys can cost $300 or more to replace and the problem of not being able to go anywhere, I think that 1 point makes the device worth it. But beyond that, Phone Halo is bidirectional protection so your phone is protected as well with alerts and GPS. Plus, you can tag anything. I know I'll have my laptop bag tagged when at CES.

(Full Disclosure - I'm CTO of Phone Halo, so I'm biased :) )

Well that's good because you'll have no money for a new laptop bag when no one spends $60 on your stupid tags.
