Now, not only can your iPhone be a driving distraction, it can save you from speed limit issues. Combining their industry leading radar/laser detection technology with the iPhone, Cobra makes radar detection possible via mobile device. The pp, connects to the iRadar detection unit. Using your phone’s Bluetooth connection you can view radar alerts, control settings, log alert history, and be warned of upcoming speed and red-light cameras. How does it happen?

The big win is that you get to visual alerts displayed from the detector on your iPhone and you can control the radar detector settings from your phone, too. You can even view a history of the area — sort of a speed trap diary. The Cobra detector costs but the app is entirely free and quite unique.
