Best Mobile Applications Determined by Live Audience and Online Vote
NEW YORK, June 28, 2012 – Living in Digital Times today announced the winners of the highly anticipated Mobile Apps Showdown award at CE Week. The award honors promising mobile apps across all categories. Life360, an app that lets you locate and track family and friends, has been named the winner of the online vote. Pressman Toy’s iPieces, an interactive board game, and Kurio7, a family-friendly Android tablet, both won the popular vote (in an unprecedented tie) as determined by audience applause at CE Week.
Thirteen promising new apps appeared live on stage to a packed house, where the voting audience determined the winner. Online voters selected a People’s Choice winner over a week of online voting.
The Mobile Apps Showdown is co-hosted by the Application Developers Alliance. Other notable entries included SolarWalk, a 3D exploration of the solar system, Personal Capital, a financial wealth manager, and Nokia Developer’s Wordament.
