May 13 deadline is approaching for apps developers to submit apps for live competition – Ambitious new developers and innovative entrepreneurs have one month left to submit their most innovative and creative new apps for the opportunity to compete live in Living in Digital Times’ Mobile Apps Showdown NYC Competition. The Showdown will be held at the Metropolitan Pavilion and Altman Building in NYC on June 27 & 28, during New York City’s CE Week. Developers can also choose to be displayed on the Wall of Apps, where hundreds of CE Week visitors will experience their app. The curated Wall of Apps display provides a great way for CE Week attendees to experience new apps for iOS, Android, Blackberry and Windows Mobile hands-on. Using tethered tablets and smart phones, press, industry analysts and the NY Technorati will get a first-hand look at the hottest applications from those focused on entertainment and creative arts to those centered on finance and productivity.

Each year, CE Week attracts hundreds of exhibitors and press looking for the newest technology ideas and trends. Last year’s CEA Line Show saw more than 2,300 attendees, 640 media and analysts and more than 400 retailers/distributors. The Mobile Apps Showdown site gets more than 750,000 site views per competition.
The Mobile Apps Showdown has become a wildly popular event among apps enthusiasts. During CES Las Vegas 2012, the Showdown had more than 750,000 online visitors, and more than 55,000 votes casted for the top ten finalists.
