Developer’s description: Touchnote on Ovi Store by Nokia gives consumers a dynamic way to share special moments and thoughts with friends and family from wherever they are by allowing users to instantly turn a memory they captured on their Nokia device into a physical postcard that can be delivered anywhere in the world. Birthdays, announcements, comical situations, I-saw-this-and-thought-of-you moments… with a snap and a few clicks, consumers can create a personalized 4 x 4-inch card made from recycled paper and send it off through the mail to brighten a loved one’s day. While digital image sharing is certainly convenient and useful, sometimes nothing can replace a physical card and note, and Touchnote provides a quick and easy way to facilitate that creation from Symbian mobile devices. Ovi Store users can send one Touchnote postcard for free, and then purchase additional cards in packs of one ($2.99), two ($4.99) or five ($9.99) cards. Also Available for iPhone.

Pros: Lets you send a physical postcard form an image and/or message on your phone.
Cons: Isn’t integrated with Facebook, Picasa or other photo sharing services or sites.

Cost: $2.99 to $9.99

Our Host: Robin Raskin

How it works:

Mobile phone apps from any platform can enter. Our experts narrow the field to a Top 20 and then Top 10. We conduct an online vote to determine a 'people's' winner. All 20 semifinalists are invited to demonstrate their apps at the Mobile Apps Showdown stage in the North Hall during CES. The Top 10 appear before a live voting audience at CES to determine an event winner.

When: Saturday, 12:30 p.m., Jan. 9, 2010

Where: Room N255-257, LVCC, North Hall, 2010 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
